Quilinor is the fictional continent in which the game takes place; it's the overworld. It has many towns including:

    Castle
    Balinar
    Rendyr
    Trocines
    Zachul
    Myron
    Maninox

It has several hostile locations:

    Forest Ruins
    Mountain Ruins
    Talisman Dungeon
    Blackeye's Dungeon

It also has a named island Calatiki on which Vampyr's Castle (location 98,94) has been erected. If you save here you're screwed because there's no way back!

If you shuffle of this mortal coil you can visit Heaven; whether you return is determined in part by how many quests you've beaten.

Monsters

Traversing the overworld is dangerous as it has many powerful monsters:

    Evil Cleric
    Orc
    Skeleton
    Bat
    Thief
    Treant
    Zombie
    Wolf
    Cyclops
    Troll

[====] Castle	[====]

    Welcome to the Castle. All adventurers are welcomed.

The Castle is the town outside of which the player starts. It's where the King resides and who the player will be visiting to get mission rewards.

The outer walls can be climbed to escape.

It is split into 3 floors.

[=] Trainer [=]

This trainer, found in the middle-ish area, isn't terribly useful:

    Fighting attack
    Climbing

[====] Balinar [====]

    Welcome to the town of Balinar. We hope you'll have a nice stay.

Balinar is a town situated right beside the Castle. It has some low level equipment but a great trainer for melee and magic. It has an inn, a pub, a weapon shop, and armor shop, and a trainer.

[=] Trainer [=]

One of the more useful trainers in the game, you can increase

    Fighting attack
    Fighting defense
    Magic offensive
    Magic defensive
    Magic miscellaneous
    Lock picking

Farewell text:

    Remember what you've learned.

[====] Rendyr [====]

Rendyr is the most western town in Quilinor. It has boat ride to Zachul.

[====] Trocines [====]

    No fishing allowed. Or it's the torture chamber for YOU!

Trocines is the home to the Justice Hall and the torture chamber, both of which dominate the larger part of the town. It also has a weapon shop, armor shop, travel agency, inn, and trainer. It's located due south of Balinar.

There's an NPC in the torture chamber who asks you to save his friend Tulik in Zachul; this is a hint for beating the second quest.

[=] Trainer [=]

This trainer specializes in the combat skills:

    Fighting attack
    Fighting defense
    Magic offensive
    Magic defensive

[=] Travel Agency [=]

You can travel to Myron for 50 gold.

[====] Zachul [====]

Zachul is a town on an island in Quilinor. It can be reached by boat from Rendyr.

[====] Myron [====]

    Welcome to the beautiful seaport of Myron. If you don't know how to swim, learn.

Myron is the southern-most town of Quilinor, located on a small island. It can be reached by boat from Trocines. It has a pub, an inn, a weapon shop, and armor shop, the best trainer in the game, and the largest travel agency going to a whopping two destinations.

During the invasion the town becomes overrun with Evil Clerics; see Myron (Invasion).

[=] Trainer [=]

This guy is the master of everything:

    Fighting attack
    Fighting defense
    Magic offensive
    Magic defensive
    Magic miscellaneous
    Lock picking
    Climbing
    Stealing
    Perception

Farewell text:

    One day you will be somebody special.

[=] Transport [=]

You have two (!!) choices of destinations, depending on which merchant you talk to:

    left: Rendyr for 45 gold
    right: Balinar for 35 gold

Note that you can't return directly to Trocines.

[====] Maninox [====]

    Welcome to the town of Maninox.
    Pirates are welcomed.

A town hidden in the jungle and nestled in a small mountain range, Maninox is home to the best shops in the game. It has a pub, and inn, a weapon store, and armor store, a trainer, and a travel agency.

Marsus's ship is docked here. He offers a one-way trip to Calatiki and Vampyr's Castle so you can confront Dalagash. However, he will only take worthy players... who also have 2000 gold burning a hole in their pocket.

[=] Weapon shop [=]

Outside of heaven, this is the only shop that stocks all +3 weapons, including the 2H Sword +3.

Farewell on purchase:

    Ahhh... the finest weapon ever made!

[=] Armor shop [=]

This shop stocks all +3 armor, including Full Plate +3.

Farewell on purchase:

    You, my friend, have just bought the best suit of armor in Quilinor!

[=] Trainer [=]

This trainer specializes in the technical skills:

    Fighting attack
    Lock picking
    Climbing
    Stealing
    Perception

[=] Transport [=]

You can get a ride to Balinar for 30 gold.

[====] Forest Ruins	[====]

The forest ruins are located in the Great Woods almost directly northwest of the Castle.

Talking to (or stealing from (or attacking)) the Evil Cleric in top-left (behind the secret door) is required for the first mission. They will remain there even after completion.

The Evil Clerics in the north-center are not hostile until the you interact with the mission-related cleric, after which they'll beeline for your position.

The walls are climbable, but only in spots where it's 1 tile thick (e.g. to the north-east, select tiles along the west wall, etc).

[====] Mountain Ruins [====]

The mountain ruins is hidden in an isolated mountain range situated between Balinar and Maninox. Players will find the Great Sage here in the top-right corner, hiding behind several secret doors and guarded by several stacks of Giants.

Most of the giants littered around the map are aggressive. And also large.

[====] Talisman Dungeon	[====]

This dungeon houses the Dragon which guards the Talisman. It's almost smack-dab in the middle of the northern mountain range on Quilinor.

[=] Ground Floor [=]
Dungeon-talisman-g

There's nothing of importance on this floor. Consider bee lining for stairs down.

[=] Basement 1 [=]
Dungeon-talisman-b1

The Dragon is on this floor in the middle, hidden behind several secret doors. The rest of it doesn't matter.

[=] Basement 2 [=]
Dungeon-talisman-b2

This floor is a deliberate waste of time.

[====] Blackeye's Dungeon [====]

Blackeye's dungeon is home to the mythical Blackeye's Treasure, a deposit of the famous pirates vast wealth. The dungeon can be found at the far east of Quilinor.

This dungeon is difficult for several reasons:

.    The mazes are confusing.
. Basement Level 2 consists entirely of secret doors. Casting Wizard Eye just shows a bunch of brick so it's incredibly easy to get lost. Encountering monsters can make you lose track of where you are.
. Basement Level 2 is a long time without any stairs to make the monsters go away.
. The treasure vault is a wide open space so there's nowhere to hide from monsters.
. The Minotaurs and Banshees do a lot of damage.
. The Rust destroy your armor.

Monsters

    Spider
    Bat
    Thief
    Banshee
    Minotaur
    Zombie
    Skeleton
    Goblin
    Conquer Worm
    Evil Cleric
    Rust

[=] Solution [=]

Since the maze contains cycles there are several solutions.

The solution to the basement maze can be found in-game.

[====] Calatiki [====]

Calatiki is a small island off the south-eastern shore of Quilinor. It is home to Vampyr's Castle.

Players can travel to it by talking to Marsus in Maninox.

[====] Vampyr's Castle [====]

    Welcome to Vampyr's Castle
    and to your dome!!!! [sic]

Situated on Calatiki, Vampyr's Castle is the final destination of the game. It has 3 floors total.

[=] Ground Floor [=]
Vcastle-g

The ground floor has several stairs to the first floor and blocked off stairs to the basement. The walls blocking the basement stairs are removed once Dalagash is talked to on the first floor. The blocks will remain removed if you exit the area.

[=] First Floor [=]
Vcastle-1

Talking to Dalagash in the upper room will unlock the basement.

[=] Basement [=]
Vcastle-b

The red stuff in the basement is Lava, which will do around 10 damage every tile you step in. Important to note: if you start a battle in lava then when you finish you'll be hurt by the lava again!

Curiously enough, there seems to be an unused jail/dungeon in the lower right corner of the basement. There's a stairs leading up but none leading down. Using Wizard Eye doesn't reveal much.

[=] Monsters [=]

    Evil cleric
    Bat
    Spider
    Vampire

[====] Heaven [====]

    It seems that you were blown away...

    But wait...
    Is the game over already?

    No it's not! You've arrive at... Heaven.

Heaven is the place you visit when you die. No joke. It's the home of the personae of the creators, Victor Shao and Brian Weston, who pass judgment on those who wish to return to earth. It also has a weapon shop, and armor shop, and quite sizable treasuries for anyone who risks it.

There is a wandering merchant who sells the Blue Rose for 500 gold, which is important for beating the game.

[=] Judgment (Completed all missions, got Blue Rose) [=]

    Who are you? Oh, our player!

    Hmmmmm... Let's see... <player name>... Ah! Found ya!
    Vic says, "what do you think, Brian?"
    Brian says, "Hmmmm... dunno... This is a tough one..."
    Brian says, "Let's check the computer on his progress."
    Vic says, "Sounds good."
    Completed first mission
    Completed second mission
    Completed third mission
    Completed fourth mission
    Completed fifth mission
    Sturdy little fella...
    Quite charming
    Brian says, "Stop looking at him like that, Vic."
    Vic says, "What?!?!?!"
    Brian says, "Just joking around."
    Got the Blue Rose, OK!
    Well, alright, we've made our decision.
    You have proven yourself to be worthy.
    We'll give you another chance.

    Returning to Quilinor...
